Proposal

Proposal:

 In this unit, we have been asked to design and create a new and improved college website. The website must be appropriate for both parents, students and all races and genders. With the current website i feel that the colour scheme is a little bit all over the place, mainly the multi coloured banner, i also feel that there is a lot of wasted space in the website because it goes from looking very full at the top to very plain with lots of empty, boring space. My biggest issue is that it looks professional at the top but as you scroll down, you begin to lose the colour and decoration and it looks as if somebody gave up making it look good after a certain point. I will try and improve the use of space on the website by bringing everything closer together so that there are no big empty spaces and I'll use a 4 box layout to accommodate a large image and some text. In regards to colour, i will keep the gold but will make the background darker, making the website more warm to viewers, i will probably use grey (#838B83) as it contrasts well with gold. I also noticed that the college logo is not on every page, which does not seem right to me so i will change this on my site. i will keep the current images as they are very effective with a clear view point and also a simple sans serif font in the arial family so the text is easy to read.
