Evaluation

For assignment three I was set the task of designing a website of my choosing on powerpoint, the website must contain at least three working pages, a logo,
a video and some form of navigation. The logo is a rather simple design but the colours are very faded and fit with my overall style. and the nav bar is a very simple design which blends in very well.
I had a complete change of my ideas, I originally wanted to make a snowboard  website but I thought that I may swell use the task to show the different aspect of my graphic design skills. I think that my website turned out very well i received a lot of positive feedback, for example I was told that "it looks very professional and modern". I was also told that the "colours and textures for the background complimented my work and didn't take any focus away from the products being promoted"
I think that the project went extremely well, i was ill and also in other subjects exams, resulting in me missing two full weeks of lessons but i still in just two lessons managed to produce a very high quality design whilst meeting the deadline. I don't feel like there were many areas that didn't go smoothly, Maybe I could've ensured that all of my designs were the same size to ensure that they looked more even on the page but that is something that would've been changed if there was more time.

I think that my website runs very smooth will all hyperlinks functioning perfectly and smoothly. My website is very creative, I feel that it fits very well with my style and matches the clean simplistic style of my designs. Again i feel that my website is very pleasing to look like, it is very smooth and modern and all of the colours compliment each other perfectly. I had both positive and negative feedback on my website, I was told that "it was a bit too long" but this was countered by it being "the right speed to see the different techniques and skill".
I feel that the video allowed me to show another side of my graphics style but in a more interesting way than just more photographs plus it makes the website more interactive and interesting.
If i waste redo this task, I would've started quicker and spent longer perfecting the little imperfections to ensure that it was as good as i could make it. During this project all of my work was saved on a memory stick which i kept in a separate compartment of my bag to ensure it was always with me as i never go to college without a bag.  In this project I used Adobe Illustrator to create my logo, Photoshop to do the illustrations, social icons, background and banner, then I used Powerpoint to assemble my design and finally Premier Pro to create the video.
I used a range of file types like JPEG's for the images of the illustrations, PDF for the logo and MP4 for the video. For this project i had to fill out a risk assessment, including a computer misuse form. to meet with the laws and forms, i made suer that i strictly stuck on task and did everything securely, i didn't need internet access for this project, so i didn't use it and i made sure that i used protected software.
